ACPA are pleased to announce that we have agreed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the renowned Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Pakistan (ICPAP).

ACPA now offer an extensive list of exemptions to ICPAP Members.
Qualified members of ICPAP are now eligible to gain full membership of ACPA via the Corporate Accounting route syllabus subject to an Exemptions Assessment.
In addition, ACPA also grant exemptions towards nine of the twelve papers within the Project Accounting route syllabus.
ICPAP Student Members are also entitled to claim Graduate Accounting Technician (Grad Dip A) as well as Advanced Accounting Technician (Adv. Dip A) depending upon their exam success within the ICPAP syllabus.

A message from our Country Manager for Pakistan...

“The Association of Certified Project Accountants (ACPA) brings a wonderful, novel and credible opportunity for Pakistani students to become Project Accountants and play a leading role in evolving solutions for financial galvanization of Projects. In Pakistan, four native bodies are working on their specialized protocol:

  • Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan (ICAP) is focused on Auditing & Internal Controls.
  • Institute of Cost and Management Accountants of Pakistan (ICMAP) is focused on Operational Costing Systems & cost audit.
  • Institute of Public Finance Accountants (PIPFA) promotes government accountants and middle tier corporate accounting managers.
  • Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Pakistan (ICPAP) represents Public Sector Accounting services for SME sectors and produces general accounting officers.

There is no native organization of Project Accountants, which forms a core gap in the field of project management. Project Accountancy is a unique protocol, which provides for capital budgeting analysis and evaluation, and interpolates cost divisions to a sequence of networked activities and aims to minimize indirect time based costs and idle costs by elevating economically feasible crash programmes. Thus, optimal project costing commits an efficient application of capital resources with time trade off, which consequentially ensures lean redemptive value of encumbrance on resources and on time realization as projected and covenanted. On behalf of ACPA I am pleased to call all of you interested in Project Accounting to join ACPA to reap the following advantages:

  • (a) Economical programme costs and annual subscriptions,
  • (b) Curriculum of great international standards seeking candidates rigorous approach
  • (c) Availability of exam anytime after candidates are prepared at their own pace
  • (d) Success at individual subjects is retainable and not dependant on other subjects
  • (e) Great career potential against other saturated branches of accountancy.

ACPA also offers to Pakistani candidates another portfolio under the flag of Association of Certified Corporate Executive Accountants, which may appeal for the following reasons:

  • (a) If you have partial successes at Chartered Accountancy or Management Accountancy and you feel that due to stressful systems such as no pass marks are determined and order of merit (that only first 5 or 6 candidates will be cleared) is used, or candidates have to sacrifice their passed subject for failure in other subjects or you are time barred, ACCEA can be of great help to you by granting exemptions on subject for subject basis. Further, you will not be required to sacrifice your achievements for a failure in other subjects and you will be also secured against being time barred.
  • (b) Ultimately upon successful completion of examinations, ACCEA shall give you a new confidence to work as a strategic corporate accountant being aide to the Corporate Board for all the strategic financial decisions.
